This piece is about the so-called casting couch method of getting a job. My impression is that in MOST cases, the so-called casting couch is not really a case of PIV (penis in vagina) intercourse.

Probably, most of the time it's a BJ because that's vastly easier to arrange and hide in an office setting and there's zero risk some gal will get pregnant by the boss and be able to sue him for paternity and etc.

Predominantly Female Spaces tend to not really be women's lib spaces. They tend to be shocking evidence of how many WOMEN are actively part of the problem.

But if you are doing that to GET a job when that's not really supposed to be part of the qualifications, that's almost certainly a polite form of being RAPED.

The definition of rape hinges on the detail of consent. There are myriad laws on the books in various jurisdictions that try to suss out situations in which consent could not have meaningfully occurred even in the absence of physical violence, etc.

I'm well aware many jurisdictions define it in a way that presumes it is defacto sexual assault by a man on a woman and involves PIV sex. But colloquially men sexually assaulted in prison by other men call it rape and no one objects to that technically legally incorrect usage.

Generally speaking, when I use the word rape, I'm talking about sexual stuff being forced on someone. So just accept that's what I mean and please get over assumptions about it involving specific sex acts or necessarily male on female aggression.

Sadly, there is a DEARTH of support for male victims and the support we do have is often openly hostile to male victims who find that EVERYTHING is framed like the victim is a chick and the only role a man plays is as the perverted perpetrator.

Getting back to the so-called casting couch as a polite form of rape -- in other words, implied threats of social and financial harm in place of violent physical assault -- I've dealt effectively with sidestepping a man in a position of power whom I concluded was a polite rapist who wasn't going to take no for an answer. If you are the VICTIM of this practice and would like to see it end, you can become part of the solution instead of remaining part of the problem. You cannot be blackmailed if you don't agree to it.

Yes, yes, I am well aware that probably the person who politely insisted you put out if you don't want to find yourself unable to get a job in this town again probably has money and power.

Not all laws are good laws. There is a long, long human history of ethical people opposing laws because they are racist, sexist or otherwise unfair and unwise and not in the best interest of society.

Anyway, if it was made clear to you in any fashion that, bitch, get down on your knees and suck this if you want this job or prepare to see your career die in a fire because I'm making phone calls the minute you leave my office and dragging you, you should look up laws defining sexual assault for the jurisdiction in question and speak with a lawyer.

And start talking to other women he hired because you are guaranteed to NOT be the only one. 

Additionally, I'm guessing there was probably no condom involved because a condom would be evidence and the entire point of the BJ is to make it difficult to prove. They don't want the underpaid Hispanic cleaning lady to turn out to be an undercover cop collecting a giant pile of condoms while emptying their trash for months.

So he probably has some kind of infection and odds are high he gave it to you. Because if you stick your dick in enough orifices without protection, sooner or later you are going to catch something from someone and everyone after that will be exposed.

So get tested for STDs in addition to calling a lawyer and see if you can't add some charges to the case. Because one silver lining of COVID is that courts take knowing or intentional exposure to disease more seriously as a crime than they used to do.
