Electric bills are skyrocketing

I personally loathe Sam Altman because of online events where I felt personally shafted by him while I was homeless and he was running around pretending to be a dogooder going to bat for the little guy. I've told that story elsewhere.

So I don't believe he's a person of good character and I am happy to believe his sister's claims that he's been horribly abusive to her. He also was promoted to President of YC when Paul Graham stepped down and within months was GLEEFULLY plotting to use that as a stepping stone to running for governor of California.

So he was stabbing Paul Graham in the back and blatantly using the promotion to further plans that, had they panned out, would have required him to quit in short order. I was aware of his plotting to do that because that was also his motive for painting himself as a dogooder going to bat for the little guy while shafting a homeless woman.

I suspect Sam Altman isn't really that talented. Paul Graham said glowing things about him when he promoted him to president of YC, but they were sort of general "Gee, what a great guy!" kind of comments that I think he felt compelled to say to justify the promotion without telling the real truth.

I appear to be the highest ranked woman on Hacker News and I'm something of a subject matter expert on sexual assault and sexual predation. I was molested as a child and spent a lot of years reading all the research and well-founded opinions based on firsthand experience etc. I could find.

Hacker News treated me like nothing but a piece of ass and so did people in Aberdeen, Washington where I applied for a job. I've spent a lot of years trying to figure out how to get a serious career as a woman and I think men viewing women as just sex objects, sexually harassing them, sexually assaulting them and pressuring them for sexual favors to get a job or get promoted is a primary obstacle to female career success.

I spent YEARS trying to figure out how a pretty young woman founded a company with three men, dated one of three male co-founders and didn't have that turn into "The company is a shit show and bankrupt because three men are fighting over who gets the girl and have completely lost sight of the point."

That's not actually what happened. Having figured out that Paul Graham and his girlfriend founded YC and his partners from his recently sold business ViaWeb were asked within a day or two to come on board part-time, I'm quite clear that YC began as Paul Graham and Jessica Livingston working together alone most of the time before it grew.

Jessica Livingston was Paul Graham's business muse. YC is a venture capital firm and he was a successful businessman and she was in finance and likely had absolutely no business acumen because she has described YC as "an accidental success."

So Paul Graham saw something in her that fit reasonably well with doing venture capital, founded a company with her when she was job hunting and being strung along and failing to get hired and he was the face of YC and then to my SHOCK he retired after a few years while she continued working.

At which point, he promoted Sam Altman to replace himself as president. And also hired Dan Gackle as moderator to replace himself there while continuing to participate in "office hours" which he described as just ten percent of what he did at YC.

So Sam Altman was given a spiffy title but probably only took over about 45 percent of what Paul Graham had been doing. AND Sam Altman is gay. 

I think Paul Graham really hired him hoping that Paul Graham's wife, Jessica Livingston, could work closely with Sam Altman and not end up in bed together and not because Sam Altman is some awesome sauce talent.

And then Paul Graham made nebulous unspecified comments about "Gee, golly whiz, he's incredible." to avoid saying anything about the real reason he promoted Altman to president. And Sam Altman, narcissistic backstabbing egomaniacal douchebag, took those comments to heart and decided "I'm going to run for governor of California!!!! Because I'm amazing!" Rather than wondering what's really going on.

I knew someone who knew Elon Musk. She was trans and I don't believe the claims he's transphobic, so I suspect there's probably a different, uglier reason for his falling out with his daughter named Vivian that neither of them wishes to talk about and both would rather everyone think it's because she's trans. 

He's got fourteen kids by four women while supposedly running multiple businesses. I don't believe any moron on the planet would buy the idea that he's a doting father seriously involved with raising that many children and it makes me wonder why anyone would do that. 

No, I don't believe he's actually concerned about a population crash and trying to singlehandedly solve that problem.

Both Elon Musk and Sam Altman are or were involved in AI. Data centers, especially those involved with AI, are seen by many people as the culprit behind skyrocketing residential electric bills.

I don't like either of these men and although I've never met either of them, my reasons are rather personal and I think they are both rampant predators. And whatever AI could hypothetically be and blah blah blah, both of these men are very influential in the AI community and people who are predators design businesses that are predatory.

If your electric bill is skyrocketing or you are in government and not a corrupt politician but someone who actually desires to do stewardship or in the electric supply business, let me suggest that skyrocketing residential electric bills probably really are due largely to energy-hog data centers and business practices that are designed to make someone else carry the financial burden involved in establishing adequate electrical supply for data centers.

ALL businesses try to get tax breaks and use free or cheap means to establish themselves and grow. Not all businesses are rampantly destructive to everyone in the process.

Parasitic business models are highly likely to pretend to be using the standard, customary blah blah normal healthy business practices while bleeding everyone they can bleed.

That last point generalizes to any business trying to shaft people to get rich quick. But the evidence in the news currently suggests it probably applies to data centers and most AI companies.

This blog post wouldn't be sufficient to bring criminal charges but if you work at an electric company etc. this blog post should be sufficient to get you to think twice and do some due diligence and crunch some numbers rather than rubber-stamping the paperwork and waking up SHOCKED at how your business and community are mysteriously going to hell in a hand basket.
