Six of One, Half Dozen of the Other

I suspect Donald Trump thinks planet Earth NEEDS world government and NO ONE but HIM can possibly make it happen or do it right or do it in a timely fashion or something.

You don't need to be president of the US to promote the idea of world government. Being president seems to be the only path forward HE sees and he's hell-bent on cramming it down everyone's throat, thus shit like wanting to make Canada the 51st state.

Which is STUPID in part because it's HUGE and in part because inculcating an ENTIRE country as a new voting block is guaranteed to be politically problematic. At best you should consider making it an additional thirteen states and adding Alberta and the other provinces as separate states.

Alexander the Great built a huge empire in a relatively short time, died young and left no plan of succession. The empire promptly fell apart.

If Trump thinks it's a DISASTER waiting to happen to NOT establish world government, his solution is just a DIFFERENT disaster waiting to happen.

Because cramming it down planet Earth's throat because he FEELS like he's only got four years to make it happen because this is his second term and you meanie faces won't let him run again etc etc -- assuming he lives four years when so many people hate him and there's already been one assassination attempt, not to mention he's no spring chicken -- is NOT going to outlive the man.

If it can only happen on his watch because you have to FORCE everyone to accept it and he's the only one who CAN force it, the minute he dies it will start coming apart.

I believe that because that is some variation on the story time and again behind multiple distressed forums I participated in that thrived when I was involved, fell apart when I left and sometimes outright died or were never the same again. That pattern is why I considered calling this Confessions of a Forum Killer but ultimately went with Witness to Destruction in part because I ultimately concluded I didn't kill anything.

I came, I saw, I left, it seemingly died without me.

But eventually I realized they were in their death throes when I arrived or had hit some forum glass ceiling. Had I not shown up, they probably would have still stalled out and failed to successfully negotiate some growth stage critical to making the forum continue to work henceforth.

I had unique skills and was able to raise the bar on things and kind of make it work by force of will, then got fed up when what I did wasn't appreciated and I was treated like shit because no one else saw what I saw. I've written about how I never fucking got credit for what I accomplished.

Valorie King felt I stabbed her in the back for being good at my job and NO ONE on Cyburbia even RECOGNIZED my contributions even AFTER Dan Tasman created a whole new subforum to discuss the future of Cyburbia in reaction to one of my comments.

I still was a fucking loser in everyone's eyes and not anyone important to the forum. I felt there was zero point in trying to demand recognition of my contributions in the face of people THAT fucking STUPID that anyone NEEDED to point out that my comment changed the course of things and was evidence of valuable insight no one else was bringing to the table.

If Trump is the only person who sees the need for world government and he's not educating the planet on how critical this is and WHY, it will not outlive him and he will not be remembered as that genius who saw it when no one else did.

He'll probably be remembered as that asshole someone assassinated. And good riddance.

You don't even need to be president to educate planet Earth that in your opinion we NEED world government AND this is why and these are the dire consequences I foresee if we don't figure it the fuck out.

So whether he's right or wrong about that concept, his approach strikes me as doomed to FAIL.
